FOCUS: Improving accessibility and ease of use in the library system-from searching to borrowing.
APPROACH: We designed intuitive wireframes, created a functional prototype in Figma, and conducted A/B testing with peers. User feedback informed iteration and improvements in layout, clarity, and responsiveness.
CONCEPT: A clean and friendly interface representative of TDV's identity and reading culture, using UX principles like Jakob's Law and the Aesthetic-Usability Effect for intuitive interaction and user trust.
OUTCOME: Usability testing revealed improvements in navigation, visual hierarchy, and speed of onboarding. Essential functionality was enhanced with three major features: barcode scanning, category-based discovery, and profile organization. Revised design made the app more visually appealing and further efficient, hence enhancing the overall user experience when interacting with libraries.
