Seeing the Unseen
Brief
To explore how storytelling and technology can make complex, often unnoticed forms of information perceptible. The project investigates how digital systems can translate subtle natural signals into immersive visual experiences, bridging the communication gap between nature and human perception.

Many forms of communication exist around us, but we rarely notice them.
Seeing the Unseen begins from this gap between nature and human perception. The project explores how digital systems can help translate these hidden signals into something we can see and experience.
Using sensors, data processing, and projection mapping, environmental inputs are captured and turned into moving visuals. These visuals are projected onto real surfaces in nature, creating a quiet moment where natural signals and digital expression meet.
Exploring Visual Systems
The project began with learning TouchDesigner and experimenting with generative visuals. Early explorations focused on creating organic motion through feedback, particles, and pattern systems.
Sensor Integration
A vibration sensor connected to an Arduino was used to capture subtle physical movements. This data was sent to TouchDesigner where it controlled visual parameters such as motion, brightness, and distortion.
Projection Experiments
Projection mapping was used to place the visuals onto physical objects and surfaces. Different tests were done on small objects, spatial installations, and natural elements to understand how visuals interact with real materials.
Final Installation
The final prototype was set up near a riverside in Hanumanti, Uttarakhand. Visuals were projected onto rock surfaces where environmental movement and texture shaped the digital patterns, creating an experience where nature and technology quietly interact.
